Walter Beasley of Chicago, Ill., and Jan Phipps of LaGrange announce the engagement of their daughter, Lauren Elizabeth Beasley of Athens, to Benjamin Michael Anderson of Athens, son of Joey and Charlotte Anderson of LaGrange. They will wed 5:30 p.m. April 28 at the Botanical Garden of Georgia in Athens.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Burma and Bill Wright of LaGrange. She is a graduate of the the University of Georgia, where she earned a bachelor of science degree in family and consumer sciences with a major in dietetics. She is a nutritionist at the Barrow County Health Department.
The groom-elect is the grandson of Carolyn Denny of LaGrange and Jeanette Anderson of Duluth, Minn. He graduated from the University of Georgia with a bachelor of science degree in family and consumer sciences with a major in child and family development, and master’s degree in public health. He is an environmentalist with the Gwinnett County Board of Health.
