British police officer visits Hogansville

The Hogansville Police Department had a British visitor from Thames Valley Police Department to visit with members and staff of the Department.

Constable Lee Turnham, assigned to his department’s Community Oriented Policing Program, shared and exchanged information with Chief Moses Ector on how he performed his duties in England. Chief Ector said he was honored by Turnam’s visit and appointed Constable Turnham to the position of Honorary Police Officer for the City of Hogansville.

Thames Valley Police is the territorial police force responsible for policing the Thames Valley area covered by the counties of Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire. It is one of the largest territorial police forces in England and the largest non-metropolitan one covering 2,200 square miles and a population of 2,180,200 people.
