The Lady Cavaliers (8-3) blew past homestanding Haralson County 37-15 Saturday night to win for the sixth time in seven games and improve to 4-1 in Region 4-AAA play.
The Lady Cavaliers blew it open early.
Callaway was up 13-2, 24-8 at the half, and 35-11 through three periods.
Tanesha Johnson led Callaway with nine points, and Jamonica Dean added seven points.
Kamaria Porter and Ladasia Bray each scored six points.
In Saturday’s boys’ game, the Cavaliers (5-6 overall) also moved to 4-1 in the region with a 68-30 win over Haralson County.
“It was a real good game. All five (starters) played real well,” Callaway head coach Terry Hayes said. “It was a team effort. We played good defense.”
Callaway’s teams will host Central-Carroll on Tuesday.
