Mr. Ware, a native of Troup County, was born December 20, 1944 and was the son of Anderson and Lillie Poole Ware. He attended Ethel W. Kight High School and lived for a time in Saint Louis, MO. He was retired by Ropak Corporation and was the first employee of the company to retire. Charles was a member of Wehadkee Baptist Church. He was a dedicated family man and strong member of the community.
Survivors include his loving wife of 45 years, Lorine Ware; six children, Lonnie (Eileen) Folks, New Jersey, Nancy (George) Hunt, Springfield, MO; Charles Ware II, LaGrange; Joe Bernard Ware, North Dakota; Tommy Lorenzo Ware, LaGrange; siblings: Ruby Nell (Henry) Dukes, LaGrange; Willie Frank, Columbus, Ga.; Bernard (Joe/Katie), Bowling Green, KY; Georgia Mae Freeman, Ft. Sill, OK; sixteen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; many uncles, nieces, nephews; special friends: Kathleen Freeman and Marvin (Butterbean) Whitfield, LaGrange; other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers: Jasper, Richard, George, and Anderson Jr.; and a sister, Mary Ann Mapp.
The celebration of life service will be Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at 2:00PM at the Wehadkee Baptist Church in the Abbottsford Community. Dr. W. T. Edmondson will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will be at their home at 611 Freeman Street.
