Mrs. Dorothy Ford Bowen, 80, of Albany, GA died February 19, 2013 at her residence.

A native of Worth Co., GA Mrs. Bowen has lived in Albany, GA since 1966 where she was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church and was retired from the Dougherty County School System with 25 years of service.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Wendell Bowen of Albany; two daughters, Wendy Bowen Maxwell and her husband Mark of Denver, CO and Anne Marie Bowen Wilson and her husband Scott of Suwanee, GA; two granddaughters, Mary Ruth Mykyten and Kathryn Anne Mykyten both of Denver, CO; two sisters, Ruth Ford Pierce of Los Gatos, CA and her twin sister Doris Ford Page and her husband Gene of LaGrange, GA; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at Kimbrell-Stern Funeral Home in Albany, GA.

Funeral services will be Friday 11:00 AM at Covenant Presbyterian Church, Albany, GA with Dr. William D. (Biff) Coker and Rev. Tim Olds officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Sylvester, GA.
