Mrs. Evelyn Hamby, 91, of LaGrange, passed away Sunday, January 27, 2013, at Hospice LaGrange.

Mrs. Hamby was born August 3, 1921, in Troup County, daughter of the late Seldon and Mary Roberts Moody. She was a member of the First Baptist Church on the Square and was a retired nurse from the West Georgia Medical Center, formerly the City County Hospital and the Troup County Health Department.

Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Bobby Hodges of Lanett, AL; grandchildren and their spouses, Kelly and Robyn Price of Statesboro, Kristi and Kevin Bolton in Lexington, SC, and Kasey Pruitt of LaGrange; great-grandchildren, Katherine Price, Kain Price, Morgan Bolton, Mallori Bolton, Madison Hand, Kaleb Pruitt, and Conner Pruitt.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 Thursday at Shadowlawn Cemetery with Dr. Paul Baxter and Rev. Jimmy McMillian officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 6:00 until 8:00.
