There are several fall festivals and Halloween celebrations going on around town through the end of October.

Here is a list of upcoming events starting today:

•The 22nd annual Chili Cook Off and downtown trick or treating is today from 1 to 5 p.m. with other activities, including children’s and pets’ costume contests, on Lafayette Square. Cook off tickets are $5 ticket – $3 for children ages 3 to 11 – to taste all of the chili entries and then vote for their favorite.

•Grace Covenant Worship Center, 1402 Bass Cross Road in Hogansville, today is hosting Follow-n-Him Festival from 1 to 6 p.m., a free event featuring Bible-based games, a maze, inflatables and hayrides. Food is available to purchase on site.

•Also today, Butts Mill Farm, 2280 Butts Mill Road, hosts a fall festival with trunk or treat, mini golf, pony rides, mega discovery playground, barnyard playground, petting zoo, basketball, volleyball, horseshoes and bungee trampoline from 6 to 9 p.m. Admission is $5.

•Sunday, LaGrange College hosts a Night in Cobb Board Room in Smith Hall starting at 10:30 p.m. and lasting until 8:30 a.m. Monday. Pizza and drinks will kick the night off, followed by a legitimate paranormal investigation. Participants are invited to stay the full night, “if you dare,” college officials said. Admission is one canned food item per person.

•Also Sunday, New Hope Baptist on Roanoke Road hosts a fall festival with hot dogs, snacks and activities at 12:30 p.m.

•Monday at LaGrange College is Thriller Movie Night at 7 p.m. There will be two sessions, one at the Turner Assembly Room for the film “Session 9,” facilitated by Dr. Jack Slay. Another at Turner Boopie, or “The Pitt,” for the film “The Eye,” facilitated by Dr. John Williams.

•Tuesday, LaGrange College hosts a fall festival 6 to 8 p.m. on the Academic Quadrangle outside Smith Hall. The event is free and open to the public with trick-or-treating in Hawkes Hall, a costume contest for children, pumpkin painting, face painting, games, warm drinks, silent auction and more. •On Wednesday, LaGrange First Assembly of God, 1700 S. Davis Road, hosts a fall festival from 6 to 8 p.m. with games, hay rides, a costume contest and “lots of candy,” organizers said.

•Also Wednesday, Callaway Baptist Church, 310 John Lovelace Road, hosts a fall festival at 6 p.m. Food, games, live music, door prizes, bonfire and trunk or treat are among activities. 706-884-7451
