Hogansville police have arrested one man and are seeking others in a series of burglaries in Hogansville.
Cahlan Dain Janney, 29, of Hogansville was arrested on burglary charges on Jan. 20 and burglary warrants have been issued for Zachary Steven Rahn and Bernard Justin Willder, both 22 of Hogansville.
An investigation by investigator Sheldon Pritchard into several residential burglaries in the past months led him to the arrest of Janney and to the identification of Rhan and Wilder as suspected accomplices. Janney was arrested at the Troup County Jail, Rahn’s arrest is pending and Wilder remains at large.
Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Wilder was encouraged to contact their local law enforcement agency.
• An employee of West Georgia Medical Center on Vernon Street said that someone stole his black trailer valued at $3,000 that was in the rear parking lot.
• An employee of IWW Daelim USA on White Boulevard said that someone stole his white and burgundy 1988 Chevrolet Caprice valued at $8,000 from the employee parking lot. He said that his car was locked and alarm activated.
• A woman in the 400 block of Niles Street said that someone stole her red 2008 Chrysler PT Cruiser valued at $11,000 from outside of her apartments. She said that her car was not secured.
• James Kayvonfar, 51, and his wife Melissa Kayvonfar, 48, both of Panama City, Fla., were charged with possession of methamphetamine Tuesday after officers found multiple multiple bags of the suspected drug in the couple’s car. A Troup County deputy stopped the vehicle after seeing a 20-foot wire dragging from behind the car. Also discovered in the car was $3,264.
