The LaGrange High baseball team will open its season today, a day earlier than expected.

The Grangers were originally slated to kick things off on Friday with a home game against Harris County, but they’ll instead get things started today with a doubleheader in Columbus.

LaGrange will play Hardaway at 4:30 p.m., with a game against Northside to follow.

Both games will be played at Northside High.

The games were originally scheduled for Saturday, but the decision was made to push things up to today because of weather concerns.

LaGrange will make its home debut on Friday at 5:30 p.m. against Harris County.

The Troup Tigers, meanwhile, will continue their season today with a 5:30 p.m. home game against Newnan.

The Tigers began their season on Monday with a 2-0 victory over Northgate, with Garrett McClurg throwing the shutout.

Callaway will begin its season on Saturday with a 2:30 p.m. home game against Handley (Ala.).
