The Lady Warriors went up 3-0 in the first inning, with Herring and Caitlynn Croft each coming through with big hits.
After scoring a single run in the second inning on a Coile single, LaGrange Academy broke it open with four runs in the third inning, with Tazsa Garrett-Hammett, Leah Major and Abby Walker each coming through with clutch hits.
In the fourth, Garrett-Hammett’s inside-the-park home run brought in three more runs, and Brandi Smalls capped the scoring with an RBI single in the fifth inning.
