Mrs. Maggie Ruth Bolden passed away December 21, 2012.

Mrs. Maggie (Big Honey) Bolden was born September 5, 1932 in Troup County, Georgia to the late Mrs. Maggie Ruth Bolden.

Maggie joined the Mt. Beulah Baptist Church at an early age. She invested her time for God by serving in the Choir, on the Mission Board, whenever needed in God’s House. Maggie was a Matthews 25:35 servent. She served her community by feeding the hungry and providing shelter to those in need.

She was united in Holy Matrimony the late Mr. Willie Lee Bolden in April 1982 and they were blessed with lovely children.

Survivors include two daughters, Irene Wilkerson and Ethel McFarland; one son, Jerry (Ruby) McFarland; six grandchildren, Lawrence (Crystal) Bolden, Maxine (Jessie) Atkinson, Kenneth McFarland, Lisa (Stacy) McFarland, Janice Wilkerson, Wiley Wilkerson; 14 great grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Lurlene Cooley and Freddie Sue McFarland; special friends, Diane Gilbert, Alice Hightower, Rosa Miles, Mandy Cameron, Leona Webb, Johnnie Strickland, and Charlie Moody; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Mt. Beulah Baptist Church with Pastor W. C. Thornton officiating. Burial will follow at Shadowlawn Cemetery.
