Miss Minnie Harris of LaGrange passed away Tuesday at the Georgia Health Science Medical Center in Augusta.

Miss Harris, a native of Pine Mountain, was born May 17, 1942 and was the daughter of the late Amos and Corine Gates Harris. She was a 1963 graduate of Ethel W. Kight High School and was retired from Aberdeen Woods Convention Center in Peachtree City. She joined the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Pine Mountain early in her life.

Survivors include a brother, Jasper (Elaine) Harris, LaGrange; three sisters: Ethel Dendy and Estella Jackson, both of Atlanta; Mary H. Billinger (Larry), Stone Mountain, GA; eight nephews, five nieces, six great nephews, eleven great nieces, three great-great nephews; sister-in-law, Mary R. Dixon, Atlanta; many other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, Minnie was preceded in death by brothers: Walter and Willie (Fred) and an older sister.

The funeral service will be Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at 2:00PM at the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Pine Mountain. Apostle Louis Trammell will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The family will be at the home of her brother and sister-in-law, Jasper and Elaine Harris at 1400 Murphy Avenue.
