Police search for aggravated assault suspect

Warrants have been issued for the arrest of Sawyer Crawl for aggravated assault and burglary.

According to police reports, the victim said that Crawl began knocking on her door and demanded to be let inside the apartment after an argument that started earlier that day. Crawl then allegedly broke the apartment door, entered the residence and began to choke the victim. The victim said that Crawl allegedly pulled out a knife and began swinging it at her, when a family member was able to get in between them and get him to leave.

Thefts, Burglaries

• A man in the 100 block of Old Airport Road said that someone broke into his car and stole his wallet containing about $1,218, his Ga ID card, and his social security card.

• A man in the 100 block of Wynwood Drive said that someone stole four PlayStation 3 games from his apartment totaling about $155.

• A man in the 300 block of East Depot Street said that someone stole a go-cart valued at $500 from his yard.

•A woman in the 300 block of Horace King Street said that someone stole a window and kitchen cabinets valued at $3,700 from her vacant property.

• A man said that a Hoyt TurboHawk compound bow valued at $1,100 was taken from his truck at the Shell gas station on Vernon Road.

• A resident of Thornton Street said that someone broke into his home and stole a 52 inch flat screen TV valued at $899.

Damages

• A woman in the 500 block of Lee Street said that someone keyed her 2001 Toyota Sequoia, causing less than $500 in damage.

• A man in the first block of Heard Street said that someone spray painted the property, damaged a door, and broke a window, causing less that $500 in damage.

• A man said that his front license plate cover was ripped off of his Honda CRV at Lee’s Crossing Apartments, causing less than $500 in damage.
