Thefts, Burglaries

• An employee of West Georgia Medical Center said that someone stole a 1994 GMC Jimmy from the hospital’s parking lot on Jenkins Street. He said that the truck was left unlocked.

• A woman in the 900 block of New Mexico Street said that someone kicked in her back door and stole a Vizio 48 inch flat screen HDTV valued at $800 and a Coby stereo valued at $40.

• An employee of SOS Cleaners on Vernon Street said that someone broke into the business by peeling away metal siding and stole envelopes containing a total of $238, an employee payroll check and an unknown amount of coins.

Damages

• A man said someone keyed and scratched a profanity into the trunk lid of a 2008 Ford Focus while parked at Public Works on Hill Street. Damage is estimated to be over $500.

• An employee of LaGrange Toyota on LaFayette Parkway said that someone attempted to steal a 2004 Dodge Ram valued at $15,000 from the parking lot. A rear glass panel was knocked out and the the suspect attempted to hot wire the car but the battery was dead, according to the victim. Extensive damage was also done to the truck’s interior and front grill. The total amount of damage is undetermined.
