A woman reported that someone attempted to enter her auto, located in the 100 block of Fulton Street. She said she heard the sound of her car alarm, and noticed that the door to her 1999 Green Plymouth Voyager had been opened. No items were reported missing. Police are investigating the incident.
Burglaries, thefts
A woman reported a burglary at Tritter Feefer Home Collection, located at 815 Leeman Street, after she said someone entered the business by breaking a window. She told police that a computer and monitor were missing from the owner’s office. The computer is valued at approximately $1,000, according to a police report.
A man reported being robbed of his iPhone, worth $300, after noticing a silver car following behind him while he drove in the 200 block of Park Place. He said that because he was focused on watching the car behind him, he took his eyes off the road and struck and unknown object. He said the suspect then approached him and took his phone from his front pocket, according to a police report. The incident is under investigation.
A man reported his XBox stolen during a burglary at his home in the 1000 block of Brownwood Avenue. He said he had been leaving his back door unlocked to use after losing his house key. He believes the suspect entered the same way, according to a police report.
A man reported having a brand new Trane brand air conditioner stolen from his home in the 200 block of Brown Street. According to police, the air conditioner was installed last Tuesday and gone by Thursday and is valued at $1,400.
Arrests
Monica Pattillo, 44 of LaGrange, was arrested on felony theft charges, after she allegedly stole steaks from Piggy Wiggly, located at 511 South Greenwood Street. Police said the Pattillo was seen stuffing 12 steaks into her purse in an aisle, when an officer stopped her. She was arrested on charges of theft by shoplifting and transported to Troup County Jail, according to a report.
