The Humane Society hosts Spirit Night tonight at Ruby Tuesdays. A discount available to those who present a server with a flyer, available at www.lagrangehumane.org or the Troup County Humane Society’s Facebook page.

Operation Christmas Child gift donations

Anyone interested in helping needy children around the world by packing a shoe box with gifts for a boy or girl ages 2-4, 5-9, or 10-14 may drop the boxes off at Lafayette Christian School. Dates are Nov. 12 to 16 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Nov. 17 from 10 a.m. to noon and Nov. 18 from 1 to 2:00 p.m. Donations of $7 for each shoe box prepared help cover shiping and other project expenses. Participants may give online or make a check to Samaritan’s Purse. Place a rubber band around the shoe box. From more information, contact Wanda Peterson at 706-884-6684.
