LaGrange College hosts the panel “Why Give? A Panel Discussion with a Christian, Muslim and Jew,” at 11:15 a.m. in the Dickson Assembly Room of Turner Hall. Iman Sulaimaan Hamed from the Atlanta Masjid Mosque, Rabbi Eric Linder from the Congregational Children of Israel Synagogue, and the Rev. Lafayette Society for Performing Arts presents the Lafayette Ballet Company in “The Little Mermaid” March 15 and 16 at 7 p.m., and March 17 at 2 p.m. at the Troup High School Fine Arts Auditorium. The Chattahoochee Humane Society hosts the “Strut 4 Strays” dog walk, art competition and dog show at the Sportsplex in Valley, Ala. Registration for all events begins at 8 a.m. The walk is $25 to enter and begins at 9 a.m. Participants get a T-shirt, doggie bag and pet photo. Following the walk is an awards ceremony for the student art, T-shirt art and pet photo contests. Art will be on display starting at 9 a.m. The dog show begins at 10 a.m. and is $5 per pet per category entered. There will be a frisbee dog demonstration, children’s activity area and live entertainment by Point University’ folk band with skits.

The 20-year anniversary celebration of the I Train in LaGrange sports program that brought hundreds of athletes to LaGrange to train for the 1996 Atlanta Summer Olympics is at 10 a.m. at Whitesville Road Track on Fort Drive next to the soccer fields.

LaGrange Art Museum holds Family Super Saturday with free tours at the museum and art activities at the Center for Creative Learning from 1 to 4 p.m.

The DHA Community Center in Pine Mountain hosts Remembering Elvis Presley at 7 p.m. featuring Rick Lipp, a longtime member of Elvis Presley’s entertainment team. Lipp will play and sing Presley’s most popular songs, a video of Presley’s most memorable concert will be shown and some of Presley’s memorabilia will be on display.
