Dear editor,

Although this topic has received considerable coverage lately, we need to remind all our friends and neighbors that the window of opportunity to let the Army Corps of Engineers and our politicians know that we oppose the changes proposed to the guide curve is rapidly closing.

Please do not let this opportunity pass by without making your opinion known. You might think it is no longer needed as, with the current rains, the lake does not look nearly as pitiful as it did even a few weeks ago.

Sadly, cynically, I am afraid that on January 15 (the day AFTER the comment period closes) we will hear a loud flush as our water is sent, once again, to the Gulf.
