Mr. Melvin Olin Houston, age 96, of LaGrange, died on October 13, 2012 at his residence. Mr. Houston proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II and was an Insurance Specialist for U.S.F.&G. for much of his working life. He was born on June 17, 1916 in Parsons, Tenn. to the late Milton and Cora Houston. He is survived by his wife, Frances Ruth Shiver Houston of LaGrange; step-daughter, Mary Ellen Conway also of LaGrange. Private family services will be held.
