The Greenwish Woods neighborhood for 2012 chose CASA — Court Appointed Special Advocates — which advocates for abused and neglected children, as its charity of choice. CASA volunteer Elvina Allen, seated, and executive director June Nelson, standing, also are Greenwich Woods residents. The neighborhood acted as ‘Santa’ to six children, four of whom were placed in the same foster home. Greenwich residents asked for continued prayer and support for children from all of Troup County.  • • •  ‘Good for you’ recognizes individuals and groups for good deeds or personal achievement. To submit a photograph, send it to ‘Good for you,’ LaGrange Daily News, P.O. Box 929, LaGrange, GA 30241 or to Matthew Strother at mstrother@lagrangenews.com, or bring it to our office at 105 Ashton St.  Here are a few guidelines:  • Typed or printed submissions are requested.  • Give details of what the recognition is for.  • Include full names and identification of everyone in the photo.  • Also include a name and daytime telephone number.  • Do not use tape or staples, or write on the back of the photo.  • Photos may be retrieved at our office after they run.  • E-mailed photos must be in JPEG format and sent as attachments.  • Photos run on a space-available basis.
