Great American Cleanup festivities set for Saturday

Local law enforcement agencies see decrease in drug arrests
Drug arrests in LaGrange were down slightly in 2012 from 2011, but have increased statewide, according to the Georgia State Patrol. The arrests reported from the LaGrange Police Department and Troup County Sheriff’s Office totaled 395 felony drug-related arrests in 2012, down from 408 in 2011. LaGrange police are are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a man missing since Sunday. LaGrange City Council has set a hearing date for May 14 to discuss a sign variance for the Medical Center Pharmacy at 300 Mooty Bridge Road.
