Fire claims trailer, no one injured
Officials are investigating after fire claimed a trailer at 901 Ringer St., lot 37 late Friday. Neighbors saw the fire through a bedroom window and alerted the man inside, who was babysitting six children at the time. Everyone was able to get out without injuries. Maps recently released by the Troup County Geographic Information Services (GIS) from new commuting data shows about twice as many people commute to work in Troup County than residents commute to work in other counties.
