Police seek suspect in gas station armed robbery

Police are investigating an early morning robbery Sunday where an armed man entered a gas station and demanded money.A clerk at Summit at 3124 Hogansville Road told police that a masked man with a pistol entered the business about 2 a.m. and demanded money from the register. The clerk handed over an undisclosed amount of money and the robber fled.Officers searched the area but were unable to located a suspect.Anyone with information was asked to contact LaGrange Police Department at 706-883-2603 or Troup County Crime Stoppers at 706-812-1000. Man charged with trying to run over two in parking lot

A LaGrange man was charged with aggravated assault and obstruction after he allegedly tried to run over people in the LaGrange College parking lot Saturday.LaGrange police responded to the parking lot at Forrest Avenue and Vernon Road after a call that someone in a Dodge pickup truck was attempting to run people over, according to a press release.
