Donna was born August 17, 1954 in Langdale, AL, daughter of the late James and Barbara Duncan Merna. She was the Director of the Playhouse Daycare for many years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, James L. ‘Jimbo’ Stokley.
Survivors include her husband, Trice H. Stokley, Jr.; children, Tammy (Danny Ray) Richardson, Barbara (Nick) Kirkland, Jerome (Stephanie) Stokley, Jeremy Stokley, Timothy Stokley; siblings, Janice Hall, LaRue Yearwood, Dennis Merna, Deborah Williamson, Chris Merna, and Melinda Davis; grandchildren, Daniel, Jessica, Cody, Allison, Josh, KaLyn, T.C., Haylee, Brennan, Braxton, and Jordan; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, LaGrange Chapel with Father Antoo Alappat. Burial will follow in Restlawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 6 to 8 p.m.
Flowers will be accepted or those desiring may contribute to a charity of choice in memory of Donna Merna Stokley.
