Mr. Bankston, a native of Troup County, was born November 2, 1945 and was the son of Marie Rogers. He was a courier for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Marie Rogers; two half-sisters and one half brother; many cousins and other relatives.
The funeral service will be Friday at 1:00PM in the chapel of the Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home. Dr. W. T. Edmondson will officiate.Burial will be in Shadowlawn Cemetery.
The family will be at their home at 208 Kings Park Lane.
