Unity Elementary School principal Micki Wallace reacts during a surprise schoolwide assembly celebrating her 60th birthday Thursday. To open the assembly, teachers played a video where they had asked students what a 60-year-old woman looks like. Not knowing they were talking about someone the age of their principal, students said she would ‘have a broke back,’ ‘use a cane’ and be ‘wrinkled like a raisin.’ In a ‘This Is Your life’ segment, teachers and administrators who have worked with Wallace throughout her career shared their memories.
