Man threatened with baseball bat, car

A man said a male came at him threateningly swinging a baseball bat at a house in the 2600 block of Whitesville Road.

The man also said a female drove a Nissan Sentra, that had contained the bat, toward him, causing him to jump out of the way to avoid being hit.

The suspects were arrested and taken to Troup County Jail.

Debit card adds minutes to phone

A woman said her debit card had been charged with the purchase of $60 worth of minutes for a cell phone. The phone that the minutes were added to was registered to her sister’s boyfriend.

Man shakes knife during argument

A man shook a knife at a woman during an argument they were having in the 900 block of Fourth Avenue, LaGrange police said. The woman said she felt scared when the man had the knife. No one was injured, and the man went to stay elsewhere.

Car tags stolen

n A man said the tag was taken off his 1992 Cadillac Deville in the 300 block of Brown Street.

n A car tag was taken off a vehicle in the 2100 block of Mooty Bridge Road.

Theft

Three sets of keys were stolen from an unlocked 1999 Ford Ranger in the 300 block of Springdale Drive. The keys were valued at $5.

Vandalism

A Chevrolet Corvette received a square scratch while parked at Walmart at 803 New Franklin Road. Damage was estimated at $750.
