In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two children: Charlie Mae Jackson, Jersey City, NJ and Charlie Lee Hardnett, Jr., of LaGrange, GA; also brother, John Carter and sister, Eloise Palaferrio.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving mother, Mrs. Bessie Moss; a daughter, Mrs. Debra (Minister Roland) Harris; a dear friend, Mrs. Alice Hines, Zebulon, GA; six brothers and three sisters: Raymond (Mattie) Moss, James Edward Hardnett, Henry Carter, Mary Lester, Brenda Mosely, and Edith (Lonnie) Morrow; nine grandchildren: Rungentina Hardnett, Durham, NC; Chris (Tamara) Hardnett, Columbus, GA; Core Hardnett, Gerald Hardnett, LaTosha Hardnett, Darrelynn Hardnett, LaGrange, GA; Robin Keller, Kesha Jackson, Quintin Jackson, Jersey City, NJ; two “special brothers”: Raleigh Carter and Jimmy F. Coverson; many great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The Celebration of Life Service will be on Wednesday, August 31, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. at New Mount Olive Knotts Baptist Church with Rev. Rufus Smith and Rev. Roland Harris officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
