LaGrange College plans 9/11 events

LaGrange College has scheduled several events to mark the 10th anniversary of the Sept. 11 terror attacks.

— Quincy Brown and David Garrison will present lectures on how current college students’ childhoods and educational experiences have been altered by the events of Sept. 11, 2001. The talk will be at 11:15 a.m. Tuesday in the Dickson Assembly Room.

— Faculty members will lead students in a remembrance and reflection of changes that have occurred since the 9/11 attacks. Professors will offer ruminations on changes (or the lack thereof) in art and literature, on immigration, on culture, on politics. The program will be at 11:15 a.m. Thursday in the Bailey Room.

— A service of remembrance will be at 8 p.m. Sept. 11 on the Murphy Academic Quadrangle.

All programs are open to the public.
