Tommy Lee (Wolf) Reed, age 59, died Sunday, November 13, 2011, at Hospice LaGrange. Mr. Reed, a native of Troup County, was the son of the late Elmer T. and Willie Henrietta Scott Reed and the husband of Mrs. Debra Cofield Reed. Mr. Reed was a renowned musician with a trumpet and keyboard having played with the famous James Brown and other great artists. Survivors include two sons, Rex Reed of Columbus, Ohio and Brandon Gates of Newnan, Ga.; four daughters, Chatrevia Reed of LaGrange, Elvoni Reed, Alyssa Fenwick and Casandra Fenwick all of Ware, Masschusetts; five sisters, Juanita (Albert) Parker of LaGrange, Geneva (Willie Sr.) Smith of Warner Robins, Ga., Doris (Larry Sr.) White of LaGrange, Ruby Ezik of Savannah, Ga. and Andrea (Andre) Gilbert of LaGrange; three brothers, Elmer (Marian) Reed Jr., Benjamin (Ony) Reed and Frank (Tammy) Reed all of LaGrange; aunts, Annie Lou Harris and Mary Nelson both of LaGrange and an uncle, Robert Scott of Chicago, Illinois; 11 grandchildren, and several other relatives. He was preceded in death in adddition to his parents, a nephew, Larry White, Jr. Funeral services for Tommy Lee Reed will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2011, at 1:00 P.M. at Triumph Holiness Church at 502 Brown Street. Prince Larry and Elder Willie White will officiate with burial at Shadowlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the home of his sister, Doris White at 811 Houston Street. West Georgia Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
