Mr. Pattillo, a native of LaGrange, Troup County, was born December 27, 1950, and was the son of the late Charlie Mae Green Pattillo and Charlie Pattillo. “Al” lived in Chattanooga prior to moving to Atlanta. He retired from Middlebrooks Heating and Air Conditioning Service.
Survivors include one daughter, Kylonda Griffin; three grandchildren: Maya Powell, Asia Griffin, Tywon Griffin, all of Augusta, Ga.; three sisters: C. Kate (“Dee”) Smedley, Atlanta, Ga.; Helen M. Pattillo (Ollie), Ella Johnson, LaGrange, Ga.; two brothers: Virgil L. Pattillo (Carol), Fairburn, Ga.; Ronnie A. Pattillo, LaGrange, Ga.; four aunts: Bessie L. Hardnett, Decatur, Ga.; Ruth Johnson, Lillie Ruth Walker, Georgia Bankston, Chattanooga, Tenn.; two uncles: Curtis Johnson, LaGrange; Johnnie B. Pattillo, West Palm Beach, Florida; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The funeral service will be Sunday, December 4, 2011, at 2:30 p.m. at Arbor Grove Baptist Church on Brown Street. Bishop James Newsom will officiate. Burial will be in Southview Cemetery.
The family will be at the home of his sister, Helen Pattillo at 514 Burr Street.
