• A fire reported at 5:35 a.m. today caused an estimated $3,000 damage to a machine at Wheelabrator at 1606 Executive Drive in the LaGrange Industrial Park. The fire started inside a demo Wheelblaster worth $240,000 and was confined to the machine. There was light smoke inside the building.

• Someone entered an auto in the 100 block of Pyne Road and stole an MP3 player and other electronic items valued at $389.

n Jeans and other clothing valued at $540 were stolen in a burglary Sunday night in the 100 block of Turner Street.

• LaGrange police charged a man with DUI and fleeing the scene of an accident after his vehicle struck a pole in the parking lot of Chevron at 315 New Franklin Road. The vehicle was seen traveling onto Mitchell Avenue where it was stopped.
