Mr. Hornsby was born June 12, 1958, in Franklin and had lived in LaGrange most of his life, where he was employed by Foster’s Auto. He believed in education and had earned several associate degrees, was an avid fisherman, and enjoyed working on his home.
Survivors include his daughters, Dana (Bill) Smith of LaGrange, Jennifer (Duston) Reese of Carrollton; sons, Chris (Tammy) Hornsby, Jeff (Lauren) Hornsby, all of LaGrange; his mother, Elaine O’Neal; his sister, Anita, and his brother, Glenn, all of Roanoke, AL; fourteen grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Timmy Hornsby; his father, Kenneth Hornsby; and his step-father, Willard O’Neal.
A memorial service will be 4:00 p.m., Saturday, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Rev. Jimmy McMillian and the Rev. Bobby Bozeman will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Friday night and at other times will be at the home of Dana and Bill Smith at 181 Pine Circle in LaGrange.
