The family will hold a private memorial service for Mr. Smith.
Mr. Smith was born September 7, 1940 in Cumming, GA the son of William and Lelia Belle Hyde Smith. He was a self-employed bail bondsman with Dennis Bail Bonds. He was Baptist by faith. Mr. Smith was preceded in death by brothers; Jewel Smith and Jesse Smith and sisters; Edna Hammon and Montine Nix.
He is survived by his wife, Vicki Lynn Smith of LaGrange; three daughters and son-in-laws : Ashley and Jason Strickland of Sharpsburg, Christine and Steve Colson of West Point, GA and Kathy and Todd Kirk of Covington, GA; and son, Richard Jolly of LaGrange; brothers: Alvin Smith and Mark Smith both of Cumming, GA; Bill Smith of Ballground, GA and James Smith of Smyrna, GA; sisters, Pearl Lathem of Cumming, Aldiene Bruce of Morrow, Mammie Smith of Cario, GA; eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; a special granddaughter, Natasha Colson, special niece, Jackie (Tim) Spencer; special friends: Ed White, Lisa and Frankie Doster, Kristy, Cherisece and Alyson Snow.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be given in memory of Mr. Smith to the Angels of Hope Hospice 1605 Vernon Road Suite # 1000 LaGrange, GA 30240.
