Two men batter, rob pedestrian

A LaGrange man said he was robbed by two men while he was walking down a street about 5:15 a.m. today.

The victim told police he was near the intersection of Harwell Avenue and Ashton Street, heading to West Georgia Medical Center, when another man approached him from South Greenwood Street. The man walked with the victim briefly, then struck him in the face, knocking the victim to the ground.

A vehicle pulled up and a second man got out and struck the victim again. The robbers took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled.

The victim was treated for minor injuries at the scene by EMS.
