Reckless conduct
Police responded to a report of shots fired in the area of Lafayette Court. Police said a witness saw a woman in a red 2001 GMC Denali fire a shot from out of the driver side of her vehicle. The suspect was located and arrested on charges of reckless conduct, for firing her weapon in close proximity to several parties involved in a dispute, according to a police report.
Burglaries, theft
A woman reported a burglary in the 200 block of Render Street, after she said someone stole electronics from her residence. She stated that someone broke into her home while she was at work. She said a 42-inch Vizio flat-screen television and XBox game console were missing when she returned home. Police are investigating the incident.
A man was arrested after after allegedly stealing beer from Kroger, located in the 200 block of Commerce Avenue. Police said a witness watched a white male run out of the grocery store with a case of Bud Light. The suspect was in possession of enough cash to purchase the beer. He was arrested and charged with theft, according to police.
An employee of Cottle/Kelly Electric reported a theft, after someone entered a residence in the 100 block of Lakeland Drive and stole three rolls of wire. The wire was being used to wire the house, which was under construction, according to police. The total value of the stolen wire was approximately $860, according to a police report.
Fraud
Police are investigating an incident of fraud, after a LaGrange woman reported noticing someone had been repeatedly using her bank account number and credit card online. The woman stated she did not authorize any of the unusual charges, such as a purchase on Sears.com int he amount of $196. She believed she may have been the victim of credit card swipers found in local gas stations, according to police.
