Vendors sell fresh produce, cheeses, honey, boiled peanuts and other items at Callaway Gardens Farmer’s Market from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Gardens’ Robin Lake Beach in Pine Mountain. Admission is free to the market through the beach entrance.

Saturday

Local growers sell produce, cheeses, baked goods, plants and other locally made items at Market on Main from 8 to 10 a.m. in the parking lot behind Carmike Theater. Troup County extension agents Celeste Garrett and Randy Drinkard will be at the market to answer questions about food preservation, canning, gardening and summer horticulture.

Local vendors sell homegrown and homemade foods and products at Glass Bridge Road Farmer’s Market from 8 to 10 a.m. at the pavilion across from Loyd Presbyterian Church, 550 Upper Glass Bridge Road.

Children’s Miracle Network hosts Kids Day at Walmart, 803 New Franklin Road, at 10 a.m. with vendors, rides and activities at 10 a.m. All proceeds go toward Children’s Miracle Network.

Los Nopales will sell T-shirts and have representatives on hand all day to answer questions about the Hope for a Day breast cancer walk, and sign up walkers and crew members for this year’s event on Sept. 29. The restaurant will donate a portion of all sales to Hope for a Day.

Kimberly-Clark hosts its fourth annual motorcycle ride and poker run to benefit United Way of West Georgia beginning at Kimberly-Clark Corp., 1300 Orchard Hill Road. Cost is $20 per bike and $5 for riders. A barbecue lunch is included and door prizes will be drawn at the end of the ride. Highest poker hand wins $100 gift card.
