Tripp Foster has announced his qualifying for the County Commission District 3 position.
Foster is a fourth-generation resident of Troup County. He and his family have owned businesses in the county “going back 99 years,” he said.
He is the eldest son of the late Frankie Foster and grandson of Claude “Eachie” Foster.
“I am – having worked in public safety over 25 years, owning and operating three businesses and working actively in Troup County government 11 years – most knowledgeable as to what it takes to make a better work experience for Troup County employees, and to bring back a strong accountability in the Troup County government,” Foster said. “I will literally, if elected, be the voice for all Troup County residents.”
Foster recently resigned from a job in Troup County government to run for the District 3 seat.
Foster said his professional experience in all three divisions of public, business experiences and working for the Troup County government give him an advantage as a candidate.
He and his wife of 18 years, Staci, have two children: Ali and Cal, who attend Troup County schools.
Foster and his family attend City Light Church and he is on the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians, the National Professional Qualification Board of firefighters level I and II, and is a NPQ Haz-Mat technician and state-certified in law enforcement.
