Fourteen vehicles were damaged during a burglary at Stanford Automotive and Repair Inc., located at 66 Youngs Mill Road Monday.

The owner of the business told detectives with the LaGrange Police Department that someone broke the windshields of 12 vehicles and punctured the tires of two others at the business. One customer’s car, a 2000 Buick Regal, still had the pry bar that was used sticking out of the windshield, according to a police report.

The owner said that he could not name everything that was stolen until he did inventory, but said a computer system was missing. Detectives noted that the inside of the business had been ransacked, the report said.

The owner believes the burglary may have been committed by a former employee who was fired Sunday, according to the report.

A burglary was also reported at Stanford Car Wash, located at 78 Youngs Mill Road during the same time span. The cases are under investigation.
