A woman was arrested for allegedly stabbing another female over a shared love interest.
Police said the victim reported Destinee Harrison, 20, sliced and stabbed her while the two were arguing at the intersection of Baldwin Street and Chatham Street Saturday night. Witnesses said they saw Harrison and her mother drive up, get out of their car and begin arguing with the victim, according to a police report.
They said the argument escalated into fighting, which is when they first saw Harrison holding a kitchen knife with a blade about 12 inches long. They reported seeing the suspect make punching and stabbing motions before getting back in the car with her mother and driving off, the report said.
The victim was transported to West Georgia Medical Center to be treated for her injuries. Harrison was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, the report said.
