Dear Editor,
The Obama campaign’s latest effort to obscure the public impression of Governor Mitt Romney is neither surprising nor unexpected. Our president’s record over the last three and a half years has been nothing short of disastrous. Our nation is far worse off today than it was four years ago. His only recourse is to divert public attention from his record.
For the first time in history, the credit rating of the United States has fallen below its traditional three-stars. I am amazed that many progressives are still blaming that on Bush! The national debt has increased by $5 trillion in three years. Gas prices are skyrocketing and our president continues to bow to the environmentalists who would have us using horse and buggy. Obamacare is a disaster and we have not seen the worst of it yet. The elderly will pay the greatest price but all of us will suffer. Welfare reform has been torpedoed. With the unbridled increase in food stamp use and other entitlement programs, the Democrats are pandering to get votes.
Illegal immigration is rampant and all we hear from the president is how he is doing such a good job in getting it under control. Hogwash! Every person and every state that attempts to address the issue is labeled “racist” and attacked by the Obama administration. Fast and Furious has become a case of openly obfuscating the truth. Certainly the death of an American federal agent is worthy of honest investigation rather than playing the executive privilege card. In my opinion, Mr. Obama’s Attorney General is a racist and a thug. How can anyone view the tapes of the New Black Panther voter intimidation actions and not deem it worthy of investigation and probably prosecution?
This all boils down to a case of trying to recreate the United States into a personal dictatorship and a European socialist nation. Tear the nation apart and rebuild it in a Marxist pattern. The values that made America successful are to be thrown under the bus and replaced with a misguided sense of entitlement. Forget individual effort and responsibility. Forget small government and fiscal responsibility. Big Brother is right around the corner and waiting to pounce.
