Police arrested a man who allegedly made terroristic threats and attacked a woman by grabbing her around the neck and choking her in the 900 block of Whitesville Street Friday.
In his rage, he also took his three-month old pit bull puppy and threw it against a brick wall, breaking its back and legs, police said. Marco Darelle Chambers, 32, was charged with terroristic threats, cruelty to animals and simple battery, according to a police report.

Two juveniles were arrested on charges of auto theft and theft by receiving a stolen vehicle after silver Ford Taurus was reportedly stolen from the parking lot of LaGrange Pools and Spa at 216 Bull St. Friday.
Police arrested a LaGrange woman on a charge of parental responsibility after a woman reportedly found her 2-year-old son alone on the sidewalk in the 500 block of Whitesville Street Friday. She told police she had left her son playing in the yard with another boy while she ran inside to use the restroom, according to police.
Johnnie Redden, 47, was arrested and charged with aggravated stalking Saturday.
