The LaGrange Symphony Guild presents the annual My Favorite Things Luncheon on Sept. 17 at Highland Country Club. Tablescapes, created by about 20 groups and individuals, will showcase the creativity of symphony supporters.
The event will also include musical entertainment and a preview of the 2012-13 LSO season provided by Patricio Cobos, LaGrange Symphony Orchestra music director and conductor. Table viewing will begin at 11 a.m. with lunch served at noon.
“The main emphasis of this year’s event is promoting LSO season ticket sales and guild membership,” said guild president Libba Bowling. “I am grateful to co-chairs Nancy Stevens and Mary Anne Shepherd for their leadership for this year’s luncheon. It will be a wonderful experience and you will be supporting a worthy cause, our own LaGrange Symphony Orchestra. I Hope to see you there.”
Those who attend the luncheon and are also members of the Symphony Guild and current season ticket holders will be eligible to win a three-day stay in a four-bedroom Destin, Fla., condo on the Links Gold Golf Course, plus two additional season tickets.
