LaGrange police found a drunken man asleep on the side of Hamilton Road Monday evening.

Officers said the man was laying on the side of the road using a bag for a pillow about 11 p.m. When awoken, he was confused and didn’t seem to know where he was, or be able to stand, police said.

Asked if he was drinking, he told an officer “he might have had a few,” according to a report. The bag he was using as a pillow contained empty prescription medication pain killer bottles in the man’s name.

He was checked out by EMS and transported to the hospital for evaluation. The officer cited him for public drunkenness.
