Jean Shelnutt Roberts, 63, of LaGrange, passed away Thursday, October 11, 2012 at Hospice LaGrange. Mrs. Roberts was born June 17, 1949 in Roanoke, Alabama, daughter of the late Okla Reed Shelnutt and Wilma Mavis Cofield Newton. She is survived by her daughter, Vicky Norred; two grandchildren, Christopher Kurian and Raven Dollar; two great-grandchildren, Jaden Kurian and Levi Kurian; brother, Phillip Shelnutt; sister, June Shelnutt; nieces and nephews, Michael Nixon, Lisa Shelnutt, Ben Shelnutt, Wayne Shelnutt, Christy Shelnutt, Daryl Shelnutt, Donald Shelnutt, and Debbie Shelnutt. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Tammy Perry Dollar and brother, Reed Shelnutt.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 Monday at the Hunter-Allen-Myhand Chapel with the Rev. Nick Pilgrim officiating. Interment will be in Shadowlawn Cemetery. The family will be at the home of her daughter, Vicky Norred, at 100 Glennbrook Road, and will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening from 5:00 until 8:00.
