An armed person took undisclosed property from Kountry Kitchen at 2219 West Point Road on Saturday.

A Troup County Sheriff’s report said that someone entered the business about 7:42 p.m. with a firearm and robbed the owner. No further information was released.

Burglaries, thefts

•Witnesses said two teenagers hopped into a 1993 Nissan Altima parked outside Family Dollar at 914 Hogansville Road and drove off. The owner had left the car, valued at $4,000, running while he was inside the store.

•A man who was helping a friend unload groceries in the 200 block of Johnson Street said a teenager reached into the open window of his vehicle and grabbed a Samsung Galaxy cell phone valued at $200. The victim chased the thief, but was unable to catch him.

•A 19-year-old was charged with entering vehicles after a resident of the first block of Fernwood Drive said she saw him looking through her and her husband’s vehicles. The teen had run out of gas and his vehicle was parked nearby. He later told a deputy, after returning to the area with a neighbor that offered to give him some gas, that he was looking through the vehicles for loose change.

•A driver for A-Cab said a man she picked up became angry over the price of the fare and threw his money on the floor behind her before getting out of the vehicle. When she leaned over to pick up the money, the man snatched her red Cricket cell phone valued at $150 and fled.

•A thief took a bicycle valued at about $100 from the 100 block of Cherry Valley Street.

•Residents of the 100 block of Independence Court said thieves took a chainsaw valued at $250, weed trimmer valued at $400 and backpack blower valued at $400 from a shed on the property.

•A thief cut the locks to a transfer trailer in the 1000 block of Bass Cross Roads near Hogansville, took two weed trimmers from underneath the trailer and pried open a shed, taking a pressure washer, ice-making machine and chainsaw of undisclosed value.
