Trailing 35-14 in the fourth quarter, the Grangers rallied to pull even at the end of regulation, but they went on to fall 38-35 in overtime.
LaGrange got the ball first in overtime, and Michael Ward missed a 36-yard field-goal attempt.
Fayette County’s kicker then made a field goal to win it.
Trailing by 21 points, the Grangers scored three touchdowns in the final seven minutes of regulation to tie things up.
Zach Giddens threw touchdown passes of nine yards to Demoton Boyd and 12 yards to Dee Smith, and Boyd scored on a 1-yard run with 2:18 left in the fourth quarter.
Ward’s extra point after Boyd’s deadlocked it at 35-35.
Trailing 14-0 at the half, LaGrange scored two touchdowns in the third quarter.
Giddens threw a 40-yard scoring pass to Smith, and he had a 14-yard touchdown pass to Boyd.
In private-school football Friday night, Lafayette Christian School beat Harvester Christian 26-0.
