The boat megaramp at Pyne Road Park will be closed Wednesday through Sunday for a mud run set for Saturday. The megaramp will reopen Monday.
“We are expecting 1,000 or more runners for the Rogue Runner event Saturday, November 3. The event planners need to secure the area for the many elements that will be part of the run,” said Don Howell, director of Troup County Parks and Recreation Commission. “We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause but when there is the opportunity to bring this level of sporting event to our county with its economic impact, it merits the temporary closing.”
