The Women’s Health Center at West Georgia Health was honored with the Excellence in Patient Care for Outpatient Services award from Studer Group, an outcomes-based health care performance improvement firm.

“Our staff always goes above and beyond to ensure our patients receive the very best care,” said Kathy Hammock, director of WGH Women’s Health Services.

The WGH Women’s Health Center was one of four healthcare organizations nationwide honored with the award during the tenth annual “What’s Right in Health Care Excellence in Patient Care Awards” conference recently held in Nashville, TN.

To be eligible for an award, an organization must demonstrate outstanding performance in patient care. Recipients were nominated based on performance in key metrics, and winners were selected based on achievement, improvement and overall outstanding performance.

The WGH Women’s Health Center offers state-of-the-art services including digital ultrasound, diagnostic imaging services and Troup County’s only digital mammography.

“Our goal is to provide the best care with the best technology in a warm and comforting environment,” Hammock said. “I think we’ve accomplished that.”

The award recognizes the WGH Women’s Health Center’s exemplary patient satisfaction scores. The Women’s Health Center ranks in the 99th percentile for patient satisfaction Press-Ganey scores.

“We will continue to provide this type of care for our patients and serve our community,” Hammock said.
