Jane Kamack Hurley died peacefully at West Georgia Hospice on Thursday, January 3, 2013.

She was born on Tuesday, February 1, 1921 in Waterbury, Connecticut to Henry and Elfrieda Kamack. Her family moved in 1936 to Atlanta, Georgia, where she lived until moving to West Point, Georgia with her husband and children in 1962. Mrs. Hurley worked for the U.S. Government during World War II and after the war until 1956, when she married Edward Gregory Hurley. She worked for Boy Scouts of America for several years after her children were in school. She was an active member of Holy Family Catholic Church an participated in the church choir. Mrs. Hurley also was a member of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.

She is survived by her husband of almost 58 years, Edward Gregory Hurley; their children John Gregory Hurley, Anne Hurley Cook, Cecilia Jane Hurley Raville (Steve), Mary Christine Hurley Deriso (Graham) and Stephen Clifford Hurley (Amy); grandchildren Elizabeth (Beth) Cook Antoine (Joseph), Jeffrey Michael Cook Jr., John Milledge Cook, Dennis Brandon Floyd, Stephen Gregory Floyd, Michael Hurley Floyd, Graham Frederick Deriso III, Gregory John Deriso (Taylor), Mary Julianne Deriso, Benjamin Angelo Hurley, Nathan Gregory Hurley and Elizabeth Noelle (Lily) Hurley; great-grandchildren Isabella Antoine and Alexander Antoine; sister Lillian Kamack Corrigan; and many loving nieces, nephews and other relatives. She is predeceased by her parents, two sisters and two brothers. Mrs. Hurley and her husband were active volunteers with the West Point School System. She was a loving and wonderful wife and mother.

Visitation will take place at the funeral home Friday, January 4, 2013, from 6:00 PM EST until 8:00 PM EST. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Catholic Church on Saturday, January 5, 2013, at 10:00 AM EST Interment will be at Westview Cemetery in Atlanta. In lieu of flowers, you may make a donation to West Georgia Hospice, 1510 Vernon Road, LaGrange, Georgia, 30240 or Holy Family Catholic Church Food Bank, 703 North 3rd Avenue, Lanett, Alabama, 36863.
